ICC World Cup: South Africa first win in Super Eight against USA

It’s a heart-breaking news for USA cricket followers where USA lost their first game of super eight with South Africa played on 19th June 2024 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.

USA won the toss and elected to bowl first against South Africa. US bowler Netravalkar got the early wickets of Reeza Hendricks in powerplay; however, Quinton de Kock and Aiden Markram played a match winning partnership of more than one hundred runs. Quinton de Kock played a superb knock of 74 runs hitting five sixes and seven fours. Aiden Markram scored 46 runs hitting one six and four fours.

US bowlers were not able to get opponents wickets in regular interval. As a result, South Africa scored mighty total of 194 runs in 20 overs losing four wickets. In response, USA scored 176 runs losing six wickets.
